With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Soomaria Sukhia of Bloomfield, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Baljit; her parents, Joseph and Sukhia; and her brothers, Suna, Sukul, Hapata, Fraser and Bisnauth.
She is survived by: her daughter Basmattie; her grandchildren, Roshnie, Rennie and Ashminie; her grandchildren-in-law, Karishma, Ganesh (Freddy) and Gav; her great grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Sierra, Kaylee, Chris, Mariana, Nicholas, Ariana, Sanjay and Melissa; and her nieces and nephews, Mickey, Saroj, Shalo and Davo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Van Tassel Funeral Home (337 Belleville Ave, Bloomfield, NJ 07003).
