It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. McCarthy of Bloomsbury, New Jersey, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCarthy and Genevieve McCarthy (Duffy); his former wife Marie (Lugo); and his wife Mary (Berthinet). He is survived by: his sons, Adam (Sara), Brian (Kimberly) and Pete (Pumtiwitt); and his grandchildren, Rachel, Kara, Jacob (Reed), Piper, Elijah and Emma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hunterdon Hospice in Jim's memory.
