He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren J. Bechtel and Margaret E. Bechtel (Williams); his wife Marilyn Sara Bechtel (Heydt); his siblings, Kenneth Bechtel, Isabel Baumer and Ruth Groman; and his girlfriend Louise Berghold Caciolo.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Bechtel (Pamela) of Davie, FL, Joel Bechtel of Harrisburg, PA and Lisa Bechtel (Renée) of Hope, NJ; his brother Gary Bechtel (Jan) of Allentown, PA.; his grandchildren, Marissa Palermo (Jonathan), Taylor Bechtel, Thomas Bechtel (Hannah) and Cassandra Miller (Joey); his great grandchild Lennon Bechtel; and his friends, Beth, Doug, Sally and Perri Phelps.
