Annette Buechel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Annette Buechel of Branchburg, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 22, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene DeLuccia and Marie DeLuccia; and her former husband Michael J. DiOrio. She is survived by: her husband Tom Buechel; her children, Stacy Bloecher (Bill Jr.), Michael V. DiOrio (Nancy) and William "Billy" Halderman; her stepchildren, Thomas Buechel (Kara) and Virginia Buechel (Stefanie); her siblings, Fran Kruchkowski, Michelle Wrublevski, Jeanne Irving, Tina Romero and Jackie Adams; and her grandchildren, Will Bloecher (Alysa), Zoe Bloecher, Jasmine DiOrio, Michael D. DiOrio, Dante DiOrio, Cameron Buechel, Olivia Buechel and Mallory Buechel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church (950 Grove St, Irvington, NJ 07111). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1401 Woodland Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annette's memory to the American Cancer Society (https://raiseyourway.donordrive.com), a charity dedicated to sparing other families the pain of facing this terrible illness.
