She is survived by: her children, Susan Morgan (Richard) of Brick, Caryl Scherer (Bob), BJ Stocker (Bob) of Brick, Daniel Jr. (Romayne) of Brick and Donald (Janine) of Brick; her daughter-in-law Jeanne Moran Newman; her brother Ray Gunther (Arlene); her grandchildren, Shannon (Chris), Katie (Alex), Leann (Ben), Caleb, Jackie, Jennilee and Emmilee; her great grandchildren, Mason, Madyson, Kayleigh, Zander, Giovanni and Nicholas; her son Richard "Rick" Newman; her grandsons, Zachary and Tyler Morgan; and her brother William Gunther.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara Jeane's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that remained close to her heart throughout her life.
