With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dawn Sheedy of Brick, New Jersey, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barat and Margaret Barat (Slavin); and her brothers, Doug and Scott Barat. She is survived by: her husband Ed Sheedy; her children, Shaun Mickus (Patty) and Bernadette; her grandchildren, Bryanna, Justin, Kelsey, Caroline and Stephen; and her siblings, Layne Barat, Lance Barat (Lynn) and Drue Lindsay (Joe). She is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
