He was predeceased by: his wife Joan H. Kontovas (Wilcox). He is survived by: his children, Maria Gerson (Christopher) of Pelham, NY, Konstantinos Kontovas of Brick and Jonathan F. Kontovas (Alyssa) of Barnegat, NJ; his sister Cathy Retzi of Athens, Greece; and his grandchildren, Elle, Alexander, Madeline and Nico. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
