Richard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Richard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Jones and Jeanette Cook Jones. He is survived by: his daughter Lindsay Anne Woodruff (Brian) of Brick; his girlfriend Betsy Gersley of Glastonbury, Connecticut; his former wife Kimberly Potter (Craig) of Manasquan; his siblings, Robert Jones (Linda) of Cranberry Lake, William Jones (Janice) of Point Pleasant and Mary Dale Lancaster (Gilead) of Redding, Connecticut; and his stepmother Faith Jones of Brielle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home-Brick (505 Burnt Tavern Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724).
