He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise McCarthy and Richard McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Donna McCarthy; his daughter Tarah Haedo (Rodolfo); his stepdaughter Jessica Newman (Brian); his grandchildren, Juliana, Addison Newman, Isabella and Alexander Haedo; his brothers, Kenneth McCarthy (Jeanne) and Richard McCarthy; and his pet Layla. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home-Brick (505 Burnt Tavern Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724). A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anne Cemetery (1610 Allenwood Rd, Wall Township, NJ 07719).
