He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Miller (Durham); and his siblings, Frances Miller, Carolyn Cuff, Ella Lively and David Miller (Barbara).
He is survived by: his children, Penelope Pierce (late Walter), Alexander B. Miller (Cherylene), Sherman Miller (AnnMarie), Sharon Davis and Vicki Ross (late James); his grandchildren, Alexander B. Jr. Miller (Agnessa), Brenda Brunskill (Deon), Bobi Campbell (Dave), Sherman T. Miller (Jessica) and Lynne Seagrave (Moe); and his great grandchildren, Alex, Sammy, Mia, Jaslene, Aaliyah, Colin, Conner, Casey, Angela, Makinlee, Ellie, Lincoln and Moe, III.
