He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Denby and Muriel Pierce Denby; his stepfather Austin Gould; and his brother Joseph Denby. He is survived by: his wife Crystal Denby; his children, Gary P. Denby Jr. (Romona) of Bridgeton and Shamarra Denby (Shyron) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Shannon, Ja'Sani and Shai; and his nephews, Joseph "Gary" Denby and Thomas Denby.
