She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. Bowyer Sr. and Annie Bush Bowyer; her husband David Lawrence Sims; and her brother Howard Edward Bowyer Jr.. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kenneth Taylor, Aaron Bowyer, Jaylen Bowyer, Joshua Bowyer, Lance Smith Jr., Carolina Watkins, Cassius Watkins, Iyango Bowyer Jr. and Iyana Bowyer; and her siblings, Denise Bowyer, Katrina Stolz, Ernestine Bowyer and Lugeanna Murray. She is also survived by extended family members, dear friends.
