She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Simpkins and Margaret Lang Simpkins; her grandchildren, Destiny Ann Hogate and Earl Paul Hogate, Jr.; and her husbands, John Schnee and William Mills III.
She is survived by: her children, Earl Paul Hogate (Donna) and Lisa Margaret Hogate; her sister Mary Simpkins of Stow Creek; her former husband Earl Thomas Hogate; her grandchildren, Emma Leigh, Arabella and Brittney Ann; and her friend Sonya Rogers Benjamin. She is also survived by her caregiver for the past five years and family.
