He was predeceased by : his significant other Rosemarie Mendo Cerritto. He is survived by : his children, Suzanne Colon (Ralph), Valerie Hausman (David) and Richard Cerritto Jr. (Terri); his grandchildren, Amanda, Danny (Alaina), Justin, Ashley, Jessie, Stephen and Eli; and his brother Ron.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rossi Funeral Home (1937 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (1100 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
