He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey C. Stewart; his parents, John Samuel Stewart and Leota Bell Nolcox Burns; his sister Marietta Harvey; and his granddaughter Audrey L. Stewart.
He is survived by: his sister Charlotte Morris; his brother-in-law Rev. William Morris; and his children, Dale R. Stewart (Ethel) of Waxhaw, NC, Rhonda C. Tolbert (Michael) of Novi, MI, Michael A. Stewart (Marisol) of Jackson, NJ, Sharon L. Stewart of Old Bridge, NJ and Phillip K. Stewart of McAllen, TX. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
