With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anthony Antunes Jr. of Brigantine, New Jersey, who passed away on January 26, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Antunes, Sr. and Dorothy Defontes Antunes; and his brother-in-law Ralph. He is survived by: his wife Karen (Rake); his children, Christopher Antunes (Gloria) of Littleton, CO and Danielle Silva (Dan) of Pawtucket, RI.; his grandchildren, Colin Robert Gauthier, Cameron Edmond Gauthier, Landon Anthony Antunes, Blake Javier Antunes and Eva Maria Antunes; his siblings, Sheila Lewis, Kat Neracker, Robert Antunes (Betty) and Kevin Antunes (Anh); his mother-in-law Carol Hitesman Rake; his siblings-in-law, Carla, Jenny Rake and Randal Rake (Sarah); Deacon Lenny Long. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Anthony "Tony" Antunes, Jr. to support veteran students pursuing flight training at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
