She was predeceased by : her parents, John Elder and Helen Elder (Kenney); her husband Leo P. Van Winkle; and her siblings, Helen King and Jack Elder.

She is survived by : her children, Linda, Leo, John and Lisa; and her sister Dorothy Gannon.
