She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonhard Schaefer and Ann Schaefer. She is survived by : her husband Thomas Karycinski; her daughter Kirsten Hill (Evan); her brother Gerd Schafer (Marla); her brothers-in-law, Edward Karycinski (Mary) and Andrew Karycinski; and her nieces and nephews, Fran Karycinski (Eric V.), Robert Karycinski, Christa Schafer, Martin Schafer and Max Schafer.
