He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Zowasky and Margaret "Maggie"; and his daughter Kathryn Curiale. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Thomas Zowasky Jr. and Brenda Maugeri; his son-in-law Dean Maugeri; his grandsons, Danny, David, Derick Miller and Dean Maugeri, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Deborah Prince. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
