He is survived by: his wife Nicole Krehl; his parents, Richard J. VanHise, Sr. (Patricia) and Janet Brown-Brooks; his children, Jacob, Rebecca and Richard, III; his granddaughter Gianna; and his sister Catherine Pierson. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
