He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Pappa (Cmoch) and Michael J. Pappa II; and his siblings, Lillian Biscaha and Robert Pappa. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Pappa (DeFalco); his children, Michael J. Pappa IV (Suzanne), Wendy Fox (Todd), Scott Pappa (Catherine) and Jolaine Moffitt (Daniel); his grandchildren, Alyssa Massarone (Christopher), Michael J. Pappa V (Janet), Daniel Moffitt (Gabrielle), Owen Fox, Devin Moffitt, Ethan Pappa, Maya Fox, Dylan Moffitt and Emily Pappa; his great grandchildren, Cadence Massarone, Amelia Massarone, Michael J. Pappa VI and Daniel Moffitt III; and his brother Dennis Pappa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Morse Lakes Clubhouse (1 Dunleavy Wy, Bloomingdale, NJ 07403).
