He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dorting and Veronica Dorting (Baldwin); and his brothers, Walter and Barry. He is survived by: his wife Janice (Irish); his children, Stacie Carr-Dreher (Zachary), Leslie Nolan (James) and Matthew Dorting (Brittney); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Connor and Kaden.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home (45 Roseland Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068). A Mass was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006). A committal service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Rosedale Crematory Chapel (408 Orange Rd, Montclair, NJ 07042).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the West Essex First Aid Squad.
