John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Crater, Sr. and Mildred Martha Crater (Herlich); his son Christopher Crater; his siblings, Marlane Jones and Cordell Crater; and his sister-in-law Barbara Crater.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacey Crater; and his siblings, Candis Crater Berge and Jeffrey Crater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other dear family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (15 Furnace Rd, Chester, NJ 07930). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Chesapeake Tavern (1 W Mill Rd, Long Valley, NJ 07853).
