She was predeceased by : her parents, Milo Stark and Mary Stark; her significant other Claude Douglas; her son Edward Taylis Douglas; and her brothers, Milo Stark, James Stark Jr. (Hazel Bryant), Margaretta Daley and Althonia DeCosta (Theresa Lowery).

She is survived by : her children, Claude Douglas III (Malissa Douglas), James Douglas and Lenora Thomas; her sister Edna Williams (George); her cousin Catherine Gilespie (Perry); and her friend Marylin Swaigin. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
