John G. Sweeten Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2025, at the age of 75, John G. Sweeten (Cape May, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to John's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration John has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Sweeten and John Sweeten. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sweeten; his son John Jr. (Jessica); his stepsons, Bill Cripps (Crystal) and Charles Cripps (Heather); and his brother Bob Sweeten. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc. (3218 Bayshore Rd, Cape May, NJ 08204). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evoy Funeral Home (3218 Bayshore Rd, Cape May, NJ 08204). A committal service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 3:10 PM at the Cape May County Veteran Cemetery (127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210).
