He was predeceased by: his wife Carol (Griffin); and his parents, Virginia Elwell, (Adam) and Louis H. Elwell, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Lynda McDowell (James) of Cape May, Louis Elwell, III (Janis) of Monroe, NJ, Gary Elwell (Carol) and Steven Elwell (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jon, Jessica McDowell (Colin), Luke, Olivia, Josie, Nicole, Kylie, Joe, Kaitlyn, Madison, Lyndsey and Ryan Elwell; and his siblings, Robert Elwell (Jane) and Dorothy Sheehan of Cape May. He is also survived by his wife, along with his own three sons, grandsons and nephews.
In Lou's honor and memory, we are requesting that donations be made to Cape May Presbyterian Church or to the City of Cape May Volunteer Fire Department.
