He was predeceased by: his siblings, Patrick Cunningham and Mary Piazza; and his parents, Frances Cunningham and Joseph Cunningham. He is survived by: his children, Heather and Kelly Cunningham; his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Ramsay and Cathy Lusk; his godson Franklin Wester (Meghan); his siblings' children, Meghan Hotchkiss and Matthew Ramsay (Emmie); his great-niece Margot Ramsay; his nephew Joseph Lusk; Franklin and Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to the VA NJ Health Care System, Lyons Campus, 151 Knollcroft Rd., Lyons, NJ 07939, ATTN: Voluntary Service (135LY) and please designate (8886) Palliative Care Program, an organization that held him dear to their heart.
