Francis McGovern Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Francis McGovern of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Francis, born on November 20, 1937, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McGovern and Frances McGovern; and his brother Terence (Patricia). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Francis, Jr. (Jill), Maryellen Fitzpatrick (Vince), Brendan (Eva), Sheila, Terence, Helene Usher (Bill) and Bridget DeSalle (Kevin); his grandchildren, Vincent, Owen, Marytheresa, Mavourneen Fitzpatrick, Brendan, Jenna McGovern, Helene Frances, Billy, Kieran, Katharine Usher, Francis, Mason, Morgan, Aubrey McGovern, Shannon, Fiona, Saoirse, Kevin and Delia DeSalle; and his siblings, Patricia Gottschall (late Robert) and Jack (late Claire). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Eucharist Church (344 Kresson Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (300 W White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009).
