He is survived by: his sister Joan Gravitz; his children, Andrew Callaghan (Karen), Stephen Callaghan (Jill), Joanne Mitchell (William), Brian Callaghan (Geralyn) and Patrick Callaghan; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ramirez (Jon), Meaghan Christy (Shaun), Daniel Mitchell, John Callaghan, Jennifer Canfield (Collin), Caitlin Callaghan (Jon Cuccinello), Laura Callaghan and Sean Callaghan; and his great grandchildren, Brody Ramirez and Liam Canfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 1801 South 4th Street, Camden, NJ 08104.
