He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bankard and Katherine Bankard; his daughter Diana Lee Kapelus; and his siblings, Thomas Bankard, Margaret Bratton and Barbara Bankard.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Robert Jr. (Jennifer McClain) and Lori Caruso (Dan); his grandchildren, Nicole Golden (Scott), Justin DeLeo, Logan Caruso, Marcella Caruso, Penelope and Desmond Golden; and his sister Elizabeth Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (2 Hartford Rd, Medford, NJ 08055). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
