He is survived by: his wife Navanita Patnaik; his children, Nick Patnaik and Simi Patnaik (Mohit Dewan); his grandchildren, Zuleika and Jayant; his siblings, Rabindra Patnaik (Anjali), Sudhansu Prava Das and Surendra Patnaik (Madhumadhavi); and his siblings-in-law, Jyoti Prakash Rout, Shyam Prakash Rout, Hit Prakash Rout, Banalata Patnaik, Sujata Rout, Asha Rout and Shanta Rout. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
