He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dubovy and Josephine Dubovy (Kohn); and his siblings, Otto Dubovy and Hannah Kovanic. He is survived by: his wife Julie Dubovy (Kovacikova); his children, Diane Benke and Mark Dubovy; and his grandsons, Maxwell and Alexander Benke.
