He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hanington Sr. and Dorothea Hanington (Aldrich). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hanington (Copping); his children, Cynthia Jennings Fresk (David), Patty Gavornik (Alan) and Robert Hanington (Carolyn); his stepchildren, Diane Beattie (Paul) and Glenn Galion; and his brother Richard Hanington.
