He is survived by: his siblings, Anna Ludvig (Chuck), Howard Gwin Jr. (Ida), Joan Gwin (Angel) and Joseph Gwin (Helen); his wife Linda; his children, John Jr., Jennifer Coleman (Steven) and Su Ballinger (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Sabrena, Kyle, Madison, Meagan and Ava.
