She was predeceased by: her parents, John Okonski and Sophie Okonski; her husband Joseph Slavin; and her siblings, Rose Ryan (Jim), Frances Opperman (Tom) and John Okonski.

She is survived by: her sister Dolores Sosnowski (late Joseph); her godmother June Busch; and her nieces and nephews, John Ryan (Barbara), Rosemarie Ryan (Dan), Kate Sosnowski, Joseph Sosnowski (Diana), Bethanne Schlitt (John), Gerard Slavin (late Linda), Diane Nelson (Kenneth), William Slavin (Elaine) and Joseph Slavin (Rebecca).
