It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Vass of Clark, New Jersey, who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Vass and Eleanora Vass (Joseph). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Vass (Brunski); his children, Keri Bissell (Mark) and Jason Vass (Erika); his grandchildren, Hailee, Ryan, Vivien, Warren and Whitney; and his brothers, Alexander Vass, Philip Vass and David Vass.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Apostle Church (571 Valley Rd, Clark, NJ 07066).

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Eric's memory to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

“Cheryl, Keri and Jason, we are so sorry that you’ve lost such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Aunt Eleanora and Uncle Al provided a loving family for our dad whose parents died when he was 4 and 9. Eric and his brothers were like younger brothers to my dad, not nephews. His Army leaves were filled with so much joy. Trips to NJ meant catching up, meeting wives and great nieces and nephews. These will always be our memories too. We’re so very sorry for your loss.”
