He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Celina; his children, Manny Alvarez (Mayra) and Sandra Martinez (Manuel); his grandchildren, Isabel Martinez, Sebastian Alvarez, Sofia Martinez and Catalina Alvarez; and his siblings, Adelino Alvarez (Mariluz) and Auria Alvarez.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the Galante Funeral Home (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1096 North Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07201). An entombment was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery (1100 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
