He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Leighton and Norman Leighton. He is survived by: his significant other Gayle Englert; his children, Sara Klein (Matthieu), Matthew Leighton (Alison) and Daniel Leighton; his grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Leah Klein, Paul and Everett Leighton; his sister Audrey Cole (Ricky); his nephew Adam Cole (Nicole); and his niece Barrie Perna (Michael).
