He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Kaufman and Sylvia Kaufman (Shafsky); and his sons, Joseph Hrabal and James Hrabal. He is survived by: his wife Julie Ann Kaufman (Gallagher); his children, Abraham Kaufman (Victoria) of Bloomingdale, Sharon Herrin (Chippy) of Carnes, Jerome Kaufman (Avery) of Nutley, Jack Kaufman (Jess) of Freehold and Robert Hrabal of Clifton; his daughter-in-law Patricia Hrabal; his granddaughter Nicole; his great grandchild Christian Joseph; and his grandchildren, Lynda, Christopher, Laura, James, Kyle, AbbyGayle, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Liam and Harper. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (120 Saddle River Rd, South Hackensack, NJ 07606).
