With sadness, we share the passing of Peter Stopka of Clifton, New Jersey. Peter passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mary Skubisz, John, Stanley and Walter Stopka. He is survived by: his wife Sophia Stopka (Krupa); his daughters, Sophia Roughgarden (Troy), Donna Manfredo (Ronald), Janina Leshik (John) and Sabina Juba (Nicolaus); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Ashley), Olivia, Jake, Isabella, Ronnie, Evan, Ashley, Alexa and Zachary; and his great grandchild Sienna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Kanty RC Church (49 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (1 Outwater Ln, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663).
