He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen W. Kolakowsky and Helen Kolakowsky (Hurtuk); and his sister Helen Ciresi. He is survived by: his wife Linda (Binotto); his children, Lisa Smith (Jason), Dr. Stephanie Kolakowsky-Hayner, Laura Leonetti (Eric) and Stephen W. Kolakowsky IV (Cara Koster); and his grandchildren, Gary III, Alexandra, Augie, Katherine, Gracie, Victoria, Isabella, Stephen R. V, Chiara and Adalina Grace.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allwood Funeral Home (660 Allwood Rd, Clifton, NJ 07012). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Clare RC Church (69 Allwood Rd, Clifton, NJ 07014). A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (1 Outwater Ln, Garfield, NJ 07026).
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Stephen's name would be appreciated.
