He was predeceased by: his parents, William V. F. Kuhl and Margaret L. Wieland; and his siblings, Frank G., Richard A. and Beverly A. Hobday.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Marylane Pannell; his nieces, Justine Hobday Carr (Steven) and Kendra Kuhl (Luke Oltrogge); and his friends, Owen Hooley, John, Linda Peterson, Denise Page Hoyt, Beth Rice, Al Fisher and Marcia Karrow. He is also survived by four great-nieces, one great-nephew, several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, John requested that donations be made to the Hunterdon County Historical Society, 114 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822, or to the Three Bridges Reformed Church Cemetery, PO Box 235, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
