John Morris Matsen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Morris Matsen of Clinton, New Jersey, who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As John Morris departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Morris may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Morris leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Rowena Witt and Morris Matsen. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Matsen (Schwartz); and his brothers, David Matsen of Middletown, DE and James Matsen of Carbondale, CO. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews; as well as twelve great-nieces and great-nephews.
