It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael J Haviland of Clinton, New Jersey, who passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Michael has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Haviland and Belmere Haviland (DeHart); and his siblings, Bruce Haviland of Pawling and Ann Young (Haviland) of Cabot. He is survived by: his sister Frances Foreman (Tom). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Mike's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
