With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert G Scherfel Sr. of Collings Lakes, New Jersey, born in Clementon, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 5, 2026 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Scherfel and Myrtle Scherfel; his brothers, Bill Scherfel, Harold Scherfel and Harvey Scherfel; and his sister-in-law Trudy Scherfel.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Marge" Scherfel; his children, Margie Rutberg, Robert Scherfel Jr. and Ken Scherfel; and his grandchildren, Ashley Rutberg and Rachael Rutberg.
