He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Sowul and Genevieve Sowul; his brother Bartholomew Sowul; and his daughter Tara Sowul. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Sowul; his daughters, Erin Sjoholm of Arroy Grande, CA and Colleen Cardoza of Castro Valley, CA; and his grandchildren, Adam Sjoholm of Menlo Park, CA, Hanna Vandergrift of Oreland, PA, Madeline Sjoholm of Somerville, MA and Hunter Cardoza of Castro Valley, CA..
