She was predeceased by: her sons, Wayne Chiodo and Todd Tryon; her sister Charlotte Morgan; her brother-in-law Alfred Morgan; her brother Randal Read; and her parents, Randal Read and Verda Read.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, where Verda and Elwood were members and the congregation was part of their family.
