It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette-Jane Schmidt of Cranford, New Jersey, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Bette-Jane find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Schmidt; and her sister Susan Masino. She is survived by: her daughter Jacqueline Colombaroni (Michael); and her grandson Myles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home (803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (40 Alden St, Cranford, NJ 07016). An entombment will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Hollywood Memorial Park (1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083).
