He was predeceased by: his brother Karl Burns. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Souza; his siblings, Christine Wiard (Fred) and Robert Burns (Beverley Huff); his sister-in-law Caroline Burns; his siblings' children, Hana, Kyle, Tina Johnson (Rob) and Freddie Wiard; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Souza and Kelli Souza (Mark Howey); and his grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew and Austin.
