He is survived by: his wife Gail Buma; his daughters, Kathleen Jaffe and Amy Haines; his grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Olivia, Madison, Maxwell and Xander; and his cousin Ed Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Bill's memory.
